KUCHING: Sarawak Information Systems Sdn. Bhd. (SAINS) and Bluesify Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (Bluesify) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to strengthen cyber security capabilities and accelerate the development of digital talent in Sarawak.
The MoU signing ceremony was officiated by SAINS Chief Executive Officer, Busiai Seman and Bluesify Managing Director, Izman Ibrahim while witnessed by SAINS Chairman, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. George Chan Hong Nam, here, on Thursday.
In his speech, Datuk Patinggi Dr. George Chan stressed that this strategic partnership will be a catalyst for building a stronger, more resilient and trusted Sarawak digital ecosystem.
“Today’s collaboration with Bluesify Solutions marks a strategic partnership that will strengthen Sarawak’s cyber security capabilities, which is fundamental in building a resilient and trusted digital ecosystem,” he said.
According to him, both parties will implement advanced cyber detection and response solutions using artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies that are capable of providing a comprehensive threat picture while prioritising data sovereignty, security, and regulatory compliance.
This collaboration is also in line with the aspirations of Sarawak's Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 which recognizes cybersecurity as a key element in driving economic growth, innovation and digital confidence.
"By strengthening cybersecurity resilience and workforce capacity, we will accelerate Sarawak's journey towards a safe, sustainable and digitally advanced economy, ready to seize new opportunities in the post-pandemic era," he added.
Datuk Patinggi Dr. George Chan also stressed SAINS' commitment to leading Sarawak's digital future through innovative technology, towards sustainable development and inclusive growth.
This MoU is expected to open a new chapter in strengthening the state's cybersecurity infrastructure as well as expanding career opportunities in the digital field for local talents. -UKASnews
