Sarawak Government Committed To Rural Development In Pakan

PAKAN: The Sarawak government remains highly committed and focused on driving development for rural communities, particularly in Pakan.

Development projects are carried out with the people’s welfare in mind, ensuring fair distribution without favoritism.

According to the Advisor in the Office of the Premier Of Sarawak ( Food Industry , Commodity and Regional Development ), Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom, the development projects are carried out with the people’s welfare in mind, ensuring fair distribution without favouritism.

“I am determined to continue addressing connectivity issues in Pakan to ensure better access to the outside world,” he said.

He said this during the official launch of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) for the construction of Jalan Rumah Kalut, Sungai Mirah Dayu, Pakan, which has been fully completed at a cost of RM100,000.

During the ceremony, Tan Sri William who is also Pakan Assemblyman presented a funding contribution of RM10,000 to JKKK Rumah Kalut and RM5,000 to the Rumah Kalut Women’s Bureau.

In the afternoon, Tan Sri William attended the Randau Bergulai programme with the Rumah Tumas Tindin community in Nanga Dayu Pakan. -UKASnews
