25 Food Baskets Distributed To Mukah Hospital Patients In Conjunction With Christmas

MUKAH: A total of 25 food baskets were distributed to patients at Mukah Hospital through the Ziarah Prihatin Programme organised by the Sarawak United National Youth Organisation (SABERKAS) Balingian Branch, in conjunction with the 2024 Christmas Day Celebrations on Friday.

This meanprogramme is supported by the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Balingian Youth Movement and the PBB 1828 Balingian Youth Movement, which aims to contribute to patients in need during the festive season.

Balingian Assemblyman and SABERKAS Balingian Branch Chairman, Abdul Yakub Arbi said initiatives like this will continue with a caring spirit to strengthen ties between leaders, organisations and the community.

"This program not only benefits patients, but also strengthens relationships between all parties," he said.

Abdul Yakub also spent time caring for patients in various wards such as the Dialysis Ward, Men's Ward, Women's Ward, and Maternity Ward while delivering food baskets full of basic necessities.

He assured that such programmes will continue to fuel the spirit of togetherness during other festivals such as Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Hari Gawai, and many more.

This programme clearly proves the importance of the role of SABERKAS Balingian Branch in contributing to the community, especially during this meaningful festive season.

Also present were the Deputy Director of Mukah Hospital, Dr. Ashadatul Amira Musa, Acting Mukah District Officer Nolin Gendang, Mukah District Police Chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias, Balingian Youth Chief Councilor Ardyman Matan and  Saberkas Sarawak Exco Muhamad Tarmizi Karnain Abdah. -EDISI UKAS
